Volunteering

Do you want to help us help the project grow? There are a couple of ways to do this – trade some volunteer time on the farm or make a direct contribution.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:00pm, and every third Sunday of the month from 9:00am to 3:00pm the Farm is open to the public for community volunteer work. Also, on any of the volunteer group dates (posted below) you are free to come join us! Anyone is welcome to lend a hand with various farm tasks and during the growing seasons, in exchange you can go home with a selection of the day’s produce, so bring your own bag!

Would you rather make a monetary contribution? All checks may be made out to The Farm at Walker Jones, and mailed to: The Farm at Walker Jones; Attention: David Hilmy; 1125 New Jersey Avenue NW; Washington DC 20001. We will send a receipt with tax information.

If you’d like to visit the farm on another day, schedule a volunteer event, get on our email special events list, or just find out more about us, please contact David Hilmy, Director and Lead Teacher. The farm is located at the corner of New Jersey and K Streets, NW.
